RCR Enterprises’ companies utilize advanced manufacturing processes to create high precision solutions inside and outside of motorsports. Founded by legendary NASCAR Hall of Fame team owner Richard Childress, RCR Enterprises, LLC is led by the same guiding principles that have led Richard Childress Racing to more than 200 victories and 17 championships at the highest levels of American motorsports.


ABOUT RICHARD CHILDRESS

Richard Childress is a NASCAR Hall of Fame team owner, entrepreneur and innovator who grew Richard Childress Racing from a one-man operation into one of the sport’s most respected organizations, now employing nearly 400 team members supporting full-time operations in the NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series and other ventures.
Beyond his race team, Childress has leveraged decades of leadership and business acumen to develop a diverse portfolio of high-performance and advanced manufacturing companies. He serves as Chief Executive Officer of ECR Engines, a premier engine research, development and production company whose technology has contributed to championships at the highest levels of motorsports and has powered more than 200 victories, including wins at marquee events such as the Daytona 500, Brickyard 400, 24 Hours of Daytona, and 12 Hours of Sebring. ECR Engines has the interest and capability to support alternative energy and other transportation and engine research projects.
Childress is the founder of Childress Technology Spring Company, which produces high-performance valve springs within NASCAR as well as for other high-performance applications. He is the proprietor of RCR Manufacturing Solutions, a company formed in 2014 to serve streamlined solutions for military, aerospace, defense, and other high-tech sectors.
Childress owns the RCR Graphics Center powered by Roland, a full-service design and production facility. The 52-acre campus in Welcome, North Carolina that hosts Childress’ race shop also houses a North American show room for Okuma America Corporation, a world-leading builder of CNC Machine tools, controls and automation systems utilized by RCR’s manufacturing operations. His entrepreneurial reach extends beyond motorsports to include Childress Vineyards - one of North Carolina’s premier wineries—and Yadkin River Angus Farm.
A passionate advocate for conservation and American agriculture, Childress serves on the board of Growth Energy and is a frequent voice on Capitol Hill promoting the benefits of bioethanol. He has championed for the use of E30 in NASCAR as well as the nationwide year round use of E15. His passion for the outdoors has led him to fishing and hunting opportunities worldwide, and earned him a reputation as one of America’s great conservationists. In 2022, Childress co-founded the Carolina Cowboys, a championship-winning professional bull riding team competing in the PBR Team Series.
Together with his wife, Judy, Childress partnered with
Wake-Forest Baptist Medical Center to form the Childress Institute for Pediatric Trauma in 2008, which has grown into a nationwide initiative to discover and share the best way to prevent and treat severe injuries to children. Childress is a strong supporter of U.S. Military veterans. He funds and hosts several initiatives geared towards Veterans, including a monthly Coffee with Veterans event at his race shop. He is a top employer in Davidson County, North Carolina.
